Margaret Wong has been identified by the Sacramento Bee as the “Business Empress” based on her success in linking multi-million dollar businesses between California and China. For the past 20 years. She has also served as Sacramento's “unofficial ambassador” to China in her quest to promote a better business cultural understanding between the U.S. and China to enhance economic opportunities between both countries she calls home. Her own story from the time she immigrated to the U.S. to working with U.S. companies to becoming one of the most successful Sino-American entrepreneurs in California represents the classic American dream in itself.

A Hong Kong native, Margaret received her B.S. degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Hong Kong. She immigrated to the U.S.in 1974 where she served as the Corporate Controller for Bostrom Management Corporation in Chicago for 10 years. She worked as a Vice President of America Savings and Loans before moving to Sacramento in 1984 to start her own business.

王易虹女士原籍香港，在香港大學獲得經濟金融學學士學位。她在1974年移居美國，擔任芝加哥博斯特羅姆管理公司，任財務控制總監一職長達十年之久。她還曾經擔任美國儲備和貸款副主席，于1984年移至沙加緬度，開始自己的創業歷程。

Margaret founded McWong International Inc. in 1984 and since that time, she has used her extensive network in China and experience in doing business with China to create one of the west coast most successful China trade companies in the electrical and lighting products industry. In 1997, Margaret founded McWong Environmental and Energy Group (MEEG), which Specializes in the export of environmental and energy related technology and equipment for waste water treatment projects in China. MEEG currently has two offices and multiple factories in China with its headquarters located in West Sacramento, California. Margaret has been widely recognize in the industry for her strong business and government connections in China and inside knowledge of the “ways and means” of doing business in China.

In November 2005, Margaret was invited to join California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on his China Trade Mission. McWong was selected by the State of California to be featured as a successful California company doing business in China. McWong Environmental and Energy Group (MEEG) received much attention from the trip due to the high profile visit by Governor Schwarzenegger to one of MEEG’s project sites.

2005年11月，她獲得參加加州州長阿諾德施瓦辛格的中國貿易代表團，成為加州對華貿易企業的優秀代表。在參觀麥王環保能源集團(MEEG)的項目過程中，施瓦辛格高度贊揚了MEEG。

Also, in 2006, Margaret founded Golden California Inc., primarily a public relations and business consulting company. Golden California, Inc. is a reflection of Margaret’s dedication to helping California and China business and higher education communities develop mutually beneficial partnerships. The company is located in West Sacramento, California with offices in Shanghai and Beijing, China.
